Kunzite is a relatively recent gemstone discovery, first identified in 1902 and named after renowned gemologist George Frederick Kunz. This spodumene mineral displays exceptional pleochroism, meaning it shows different colors when viewed from different angles - ranging from pale pink to deeper lilac depending on the light. Kunzite is prized for its remarkable transparency and gentle color that's believed to promote emotional healing and inner peace.
