Maw Sit Sit, often called Burmese Jade, is one of the rarest gemstones in the world, found near its namesake village in Myanmar's Kachin State. Discovered in 1963 by Swiss gemologist Eduard Gübelin, this striking stone gets its intense green color from chromium, the same element that gives emeralds their hue. The distinctive dark green to black veining that flows through each stone creates patterns as unique as a fingerprint, making every pair truly one of a kind.
