One of a Kind Five Stone Scallop Ring
This is unique job was to create a one of a kind ring using stones from clients own set of two engagement and wedding bands. The client also requested Ray add a colored stone for extra wow factor.
Ray sketched the design by hand to plan the proportions of the stones within her ring size. The original stones were pulled from their settings, inspected for stability and polished. The stones were to be displayed across the finger with diamonds on the outside. The stones were arranged together before the new stone was selected. Ray selected a juicy round orange sapphire for overall shape, form and color.
Designed to reflect the light, and the quality of the person wearing it.
“Jewelry is something that takes a long time to get right. Integrating technical skills into one’s own sense of style and design occurs over time. Jewelry isn’t seasonal, it’s evolutionary.”
