This is the Ray Griffiths’ double wrap snake crownwork® ring with red sapphire eyes (0.07cts) in 18k yellow gold. The snake ring is part of our creatures collection. This collection was inspired by the classic motif of insects and animals which has been used in jewelry throughout history and continues to give inspiration today.
Snakes have long been a popular symbol in jewelry. Ancient Egyptians used serpents in many forms of adornment and have been used through history to symbolize fertility, status, renewal, growth and eternal love. Our take on snakes in jewelry was inspired by a photo Ray had above his design desk for months of a snake sprung up and ready to claim its full power. Red Sapphire and Ruby is interchangeable in composition however Ruby has iron so Red Sapphire is the composite without. It is vivid in color and symbolizes strength. Red Sapphires are for those who live life without rules and regulations.
All of the gold we use is certified eco-responsible, recycled metal. Unlike mining, where approximately 20 tons of waste is generated to produce just one ounce of gold, refining precious metals has virtually no waste and is much better for the earth.
