This is a beautiful pair of 18k yellow gold 15mm Crownwork® ball earrings on teardrop top posts with natural Cambodian zircon center stone and pave champagne diamonds in oxidized silver. These top posts are designed for women with ‘problem piercings’. They are curved in the back to wrap around the earlobe and once the post is in, it is completely stable and gives the earring beautiful movement. All of the gold we use is certified eco-responsible, recycled metal. Unlike mining, where approximately 20 tons of waste is generated to produce just one ounce of gold, refining precious metals has virtually no waste and is much better for the earth.
Zircon is the oldest mineral on earth, the name comes from the Persian word ‘zargun’ which means ‘gold colored’, although they come in a variety of colors, the richest being from Cambodia. Zircon is the natural form of what people call “cubic zirconia” which is a synthesized version. Zircon symbolizes self love, compassion and prosperity and is the December birth stone. It is also the zodiac stone for Taurus and Libra. Paved around the pair of zircons are champagne diamonds; a type of colored diamond that is naturally brown with a yellow hue. They represent purity, harmony, love and prosperity and is traditionally the wedding anniversary gift for 60 years.
