This is a beautiful Graduated aquaprase beaded necklace with 18k yellow gold small + medium Crownwork® olives on oxidized silver olive chain and small lilypad clasp. The design inspiration for the finials are the Moores in Spain. It’s my translation of the columns in the Alluhumbra Palace. The design is a very old world form that fits jewelry perfectly and I use it in many configurations throughout the collection. The lilypad clasp is a way for me to finish a piece of jewelry with a personal design touch. The clasp is very safe and easy to open and close. Its something that shows the true nature of the piece being made my hand not manufactured.
Aquaprase™ is a new stone, discovered in 2016. Its a blue- green chalcedony drawing its colors from chromium and nickel. The stone’s matrix has dark brown and black inclusions, as well as whitish cloudy ones. This material originated in Africa, although a more precise location has not been made available. Every piece of Aquaprase™ is different. No two stones are identical. They are really one of a kind. Each one tells a different story
